Michael Merrill is the CEO of WinterPlanning.com and North Country Snow and Ice Management, both are New York based winter services firms, where he has been since October 2003. He is active in the Snow and Ice Management Industry providing ongoing training and mentoring of snow and ice professionals. Michael is the Former Chair of SIMA’s Education Committee and Snow Business Magazine’s Editorial Advisory Board.
Michael can be seen in numerous industry training projects (SIMA, LS Training Systems etc...) and featured in the Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, USA Weekend magazine, the History Channel, Time Warner News and Snow Business Magazine regarding his expertise on Snow and Ice Management.
Michael and the North Country team are currently developing an ‘unscripted’ television project.

Doug provides commercial snow and ice management services assisting property owners and managers in reducing the risk associated with dangerous winter time weather. Focus on developing snow response plans and budgets, reducing the frustrations and challenges related to budgeting for facility managers.
He is a member of SIMA (Snow and Ice Management Association) since 1999. Served on the education committee (chairman 2002-2005) and certification committee. 2003 Volunteer of the Year.
Doug has been a Columnist for Snow Business Magazine since 2005 (https://www.sima.org/magazine-new) writing on topics related to business development, sales, marketing, process/system improvement, safety, training and operations.
